The first step on your journey is understanding macros.

When I talk about “macros”, I am referring to macronutrients, which are composed of carbohydrates, fats, and protein. We will focus on a high protein, low fat, moderate carbohydrate diet. 

The second step is to track your macronutrients.

Tracking simply means documenting the amount of macronutrients you consume in grams. I prefer using MyFitnessPal as a diary. You will never be alone on this step, I will be with you guiding your tracking and also providing you with the amount of macros you personally need to achieve your goal. 

The third step is realization

This is my favorite step of the journey... when you realize this is a lifestyle change for the better and not a diet. For some, this realization will come in weeks, for others it can take months. But the success comes in breaking habits eating the proper foods, and you realizing your life is forever changed for the better. 

The reason why macro tracking works (and not just as a quick fix diet) is because you are in control of what and when you eat, as long as you are in your customized macros range/goal. Balance is KEY! NO FOOD IS OFF LIMITS. You will simply learn the right way to eat without restrictions. The more consistent you are, the better the results.
