2022 Recap
Over the last 12 months I have been on quite a journey. As a macro coach who wants to serve my clients to the best of my ability, I know that I have to be in a good place myself. My word for 2022 was consistency. Being consistent doesn’t mean you never fall or make mistakes. I dedicated an entire year showing up even when it was hard. I wasn’t always motivated. There were times I didn’t feel like I had it in me, but focusing on being consistent versus always being perfect gave me the leeway when I wanted it, and helped me to get back on track when I needed to.
Here’s what I did….
I strength trained 4 days a week
I focused on steps hitting around 10k a day 7 days a week
I took at least 2 recovery days each week
I meal prepped breakfast at the beginning of every week to hit protein goals (I tried for 30g at breakfast, 7 days a week, if possible)
…& I meal prepped as many meals as possible on Sundays for 30-45 min
I drank my water! 80-120 ounces
I cooked 80% of my meals at home
I did minimal cardio. I played tennis 1-2 days a week
I took myself through 2 fat loss phases. One for 11 weeks tracking macros everyday inside a calorie deficit with a carb cycle addition. After my 1st cut, I reverse dieted to spend 7 months in maintenance not dieting, working to build muscle by way of progressive overload strength training
I went back into a fat loss phase for 9 weeks by way of a calorie deficit tracking macros every day with a carb cycle addition
I didn’t strive for perfection. I didn’t beat myself up over some days where my macros weren’t perfect. I didn’t come down hard on myself if I didn’t strength train to a tee. Not all days were perfect. And that was OKAY!
I maintained my weight after my fat loss phase give or take a couple pounds from building muscle. Yes, my pant size went up in maintenance because, hello muscle! Did I panic? No. I felt good. I am happy.
Are you ready for my results?
*My first fat loss phase inside a calorie deficit, I lost 12lbs and 9 inches 🙌🏻
*My second fat loss phase inside a calorie deficit I lost 11lbs and 9 inches 🎉
*That is a total of 23lbs and 18 total inches!!!
You guys, I am so proud of myself and not ashamed to celebrate ME!! Now, I want to celebrate YOU! Who is ready to join me?!
